My research is rooted in pragmatism and abductive reasoning, aiming to understand how and why things work in practice. I focus on the intricate relationship between community residents and local authorities, which is pivotal in shaping inclusive and sustainable urban development. My goal is to harness the collective wisdom and innovative potential within communities to address complex challenges.
My dissertation, titled "Reconceptualizing Urban Innovation: A Community-Level, Self-Governing Perspective," extends this research focus by theorizing urban innovation as a platform for collective action & self-governance. This work challenges technocratic and top-down perspectives, arguing for the primacy of community-driven urban innovation in creating locally attuned, inclusive action.
